My therapeutic approach stems from a psychodynamic and trauma-informed lens. I am mindful that the healing process is unique to each individual. For this reason, my approach is tailored and integrative -- I pull from many therapeutic approaches (attachment, emotion-focused, somatic, mindfulness, CBT) to meet unique client needs and goals. I work collaboratively with clients to promote self-discovery and to identify core unmet needs that may hinder authentic living. I adopt a holistic approach to support clients in creating personal growth and change. I go beyond treating a specific symptom or problem to promote whole-person wellness.
I offer EMDR Therapy. EMDR is an integrative psychotherapy approach that has been extensively researched and proven effective for the treatment of trauma. When we experience trauma, our brain isn’t capable of processing things optimally, and our experiences become “stuck” as stress stored in our mind and body. EMDR works by identifying the key negative experiences that led to your current issues and uses evidence-based techniques to give your brain the time and space it needs to do the processing it wasn’t able to do at the time.
